Former Rangers Player's 6-Week-Old Son Continues Recovery

Baby Harris Underwent Surgery for a Congenital Heart Defect

The baby son of former Rangers star Ally McCoist remains in a stable condition in intensive care after undergoing heart surgery.

Harris McCoist, the 6-week-old son of McCoist's daughter Hayley and her husband Stephen McAvoy, was born with a congenital heart defect. He underwent surgery on Tuesday at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.

A spokesperson for the hospital said that Harris is "doing well" and is expected to make a full recovery.

McCoist, who is now a pundit for BT Sport, has been keeping fans updated on his grandson's condition on social media.

On Wednesday, he tweeted: "Harris is doing well and is in good spirits. Thanks for all the messages of support."

McCoist's daughter Hayley also thanked fans for their support on Twitter.

"Thank you everyone for your kind messages and prayers," she wrote.

"Harris is doing great and we're so grateful for all the support we've received."
